Not many people know that Katrina was bogged down by a health scare at the turn of the year. It all started when she got hurt on the sets of De Dana Dan in December last year. She later developed a blood infection and despite popping in 1500mg of antibiotics everyday, the actress did not feel fit and healthy.
“When I went home to London for Christmas, I was listless and lethargic and could hardly move around,” Katrina is quoted as saying in a media report.
With the start of the New Year, Katrina resolved to change her lifestyle. She stopped eating chicken. She hired a microbiologist Sonali Sabharwal to suggest her on healthy diets.
More than anything, Katrina began doing regular workouts and exercises. She roped in fitness expert Yasmin Karachiwala who’s since then been guiding Katrina in achieving an overall fitness of the body.
In the meantime, Katrina also got in touch with Kareena Kapoor and got some fitness tips from her.
Today, Katrina has overcome her health scare but she’s not letting her guard down. No junk food for her. She only eats the meals sent by her microbiologist friend. Katrina works out for at least an hour every day. She even takes her fitness trainer to outdoor shoots.
